From the Pretty Diary: My Heart

My commitments are deeper this year, so my energy is no longer scattered in numerous places. It’s called the GP Era, a double-edged sword. The GP aka The God Plan and The Grownup Plan. I’ve forgiven, I will forgive, I’ve had humble beginnings and will continue to do so. I will witness many lives changed, I will continue to be a witness to my own life change(s). To my Brown Elite Loves: I will be posting a live video this week from the pretty diary, my heart. I will also post a few explanations behind the meanings of previous projects as there are no expiration dates to encourage others. I find it impossible to live a dishonest life as I am an example to many. That is NOT to say I live a perfect life. Those who I look up to act as major forces behind my God-driven and soul-full abilities and my contributions to the world are beyond self. This is for you, family, friends, my Brown Elite Love, brothers, sisters, enemies who do not understand me, future friends, business partners, tomorrow’s youth, my children’s children, my ancestors, my employees, teammates, music listeners, spiritual warriors and prayer intercessors. Join me as WE grow! This is for everyone!

Voice Heard…

I still respect the old school way of life and I do NOT take several things at face value as everyone is pretty good at wearing a mask. Skip the small talk and have real heartfelt conversations face to face with others. Don’t be ashamed to be embraced or to be thought about. Not every person is here to harm you nor is every piece of technology good for social developing skills. Always ask how someone else is doing.Gently speak the Good News to unbelievers. It keeps us alive as we create human connections.  Learn how to listen to what people say and what they DON’T say as well. Many people are hurting behind their smiles, luxurious life styles, computers and phone screens. Give and you will given back to. Hebrews 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. From my  perspective, the only exception is: remain persistent only if you are assigned to the situation/persons. PS: Angels come in unexpected forms.

You ever had a day where your experiences flash before your eyes? Then suddenly you recognize you’ve come from point A to B to C, etc.?  I’m feeling thankful for my experiences. I am thankful for my eyes to see,  mouth to sing and my ears to hear. When God gives you a cherished gift –gift of senses and gift of talent(s)– you are blessed, and you are special! What makes you smile? Will you reflect today? YOLO? You do NOT live only once. You can live as many times in one day as you wish!

Recently, I took a small break from MOST of my social networking sites. I wanted to sit back and reflect on where I am and where I am going.  “Who am I?” I asked myself. Then, I looked up and smiled. God made me to be ME. “Me” has so many attachments, explanations, misunderstandings, millions of moments containing greatness.  I’ve created this brand! That brand is me. I was given free will, and I have chosen to explore the path of righteousness.  I will obtain the fulfillment of life through the wisdom God has given to us. Take a trip in my mind as it’s a broad preview to my upcoming music and entrepreneurial projects. My eyes are truly the windows to my soul, and it (my soul) is sealed with God’s grace, mercy and secured under His control. I do not control my soul, I only control my decisions.  Our decisions determine who/what dominates our soul/life. As I post my diary entries, I want each of you to make it a part of your life. Take the parts that speak directly to you. Respect and put aside the parts that do NOT speak to you. People change and seasons change. Some parts may appear irrelevant, but you never know how life pans out as you learn and grow each day. My expectations for 2013 are high! Higher than the skies I see; bigger than distance between sun and earth.  My point of convergence chooses what masters me.

Many people seek approval than accuracy and excellence. I do not fit in. I will never fit in. I am sent to filter through and create a stronger/unbreakable strand of God’s image. If you landed here by an accident: Congratulations!

My Brown Elite Loves, embrace who you are, monitor the voices that are spoken at/to you via television, people, radio, songs…etc.  Cultivate your brand (YOU). Enhance and guard the wellspring of thoughts (your heart).

Proverbs 4:23 “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of.” 

Propagate positive thinking, passion and love. Start branding!

A Wonderful Meaning of Life

Some may believe the meanings of life must be grand or groundbreaking to be determined as such. I’ve found throughout my life, there are so many sights to embrace as meaningful moments. It is not until now in my 20s I realize that I am not only a part of this meaning, but I am entitled to it because I am a Child of God. The birds, sky, the laughter of my mother’s voice, the sounds of music, children’s voices, a powerful hymn, the amazing scatting by Billie Holiday, a moment traveling down the busy streets of New York City, the mesmerizing winter scenery in Switzerland, the festive streets of Italy, am exceptional homemade meal in Prague, Czech Republic. Then there’s the listening to the incredible, mind stimulating flow of  Nas or modern day artist (RIP) Capital Steez or even the peaceful harmonies of Sade. I remember the biggest feeling  ever in my childhood years;  receiving the award for Best Art Student. That award may stirred the creativity that lives within me today! Random moments produce inspiring memories. Sometimes it’s good to take a moment to reflect on the smaller occurrences.  Have an EXCELLENT week! How? Live a meaningful life with God as the center.
